Robert Johnson fans will love this tribute concert celebrating the artistry and music of the Delta blues legend who has influenced countless musicians. Levine’s faculty artists will perform acoustic and electric renditions of Johnson’s timeless classics.

Our special guest artist John Hammond, star of the BBC documentary “The Search for Robert Johnson,” will present a lecture on the life of Robert Johnson, including his musical development, performances and travels, romances, his mythic “pact with the devil,” and his untimely death. There will be time for questions from the audience.

BLUES JAM

Blues Jam is an opportunity for instrumentalists of all skill levels to deepen their appreciation for and knowledge of blues music. The first hour is a class that focuses on reviewing all the materials necessary to participate in a blues jam. A coached jam session follows and everyone will have the opportunity to solo and play accompaniment. All instruments are welcome! Come ready to learn, have fun, and jam!
