Music Theatre Instructor for Early Childhood and Elementary Group Classes, part-time

Position Summary:
Levine Music Theatre provides musical theatre training to students of all ages. We are currently looking for a part-time early childhood and elementary music theatre group class instructor to join a team of mutually supportive and collaborative teachers committed to teaching at the highest level with a diversity of pedagogical approaches. In these classes instructors will guide students in voice, music, acting, and dance. Each session concludes with a final performance of the students work. This can include musical revues, student written work, and pre-existing materials. Applicants should have experience working with students ages 3 years old to 11 years old; and groups of up to 15 students. Applicants should be able to direct students in scene work, lead theater games and improv, create beginner to advanced beginner dance choreography, knowledge of musical theatre repertoire for appropriate ages, and theatre for young audiences techniques. Applicants should be able to create a warm and welcoming environment to all students.
Other opportunities to work on productions and other group classes may be available to strong candidates. B.F.A., B.A. or B.M. in musical theatre or theatre performance, or in theatre education. TYA experience is a plus.
