Jazz Piano Instructor, part-time

The Position: 
Levine Music is pleased to announce a part-time teaching position in the Piano and Jazz Departments for a qualified Jazz Pianist, beginning September 1, 2022. The instructor will offer private jazz piano lessons and coach jazz ensembles at Levine’s Virginia, Southeast DC, and Northwest DC campuses.

Candidates should be experienced teaching students with a broad range of abilities, ages, and backgrounds in private, group class, and jazz ensemble settings. Candidates should have a strong jazz background and the ability to teach other contemporary piano styles, such as rock, pop, and R&B. A Bachelor’s Degree in piano performance or equivalent experience is needed, Master’s preferred.

Performance opportunities may also be possible for successful candidates with solid performance backgrounds. 

Compensation will be awarded according to qualifications and experience.
