Violin Teacher, part-time

Levine Music is pleased to announce a part-time Violin Instructor position in the Strings Department, commencing September 2021.
Candidates should be experienced teaching students with a broad range of abilities and backgrounds in private and group class settings. Ideally, candidates should have both a strong classical background.
- Sectional violin instructor for the Silver Spring String Orchestras. Rehearsals on Saturdays 1:15-4:45pm.
- Additional teaching days at the Silver Spring and Strathmore Campuses.
- Experience setting up students from the beginning and creating a strong technical foundation.
- Comfortable teaching advanced violin repertoire.
A BM in Performance or Education required, MM in Performance or Education or equivalent teaching experience with children of all ages is required. Applicants should possess a love of music, teaching, and children as well as the desire to nurture and shape the lives of young musicians.
Performance opportunities may also be possible for successful candidates with strong performance backgrounds.
This position will remain open until filled.
Compensation will be awarded according to qualifications and experience.
