Managing Artistic Director, Levine Music Theatre
Carolyn has spent the past 15 years as a dedicated arts educator and performer. She is a native of the DC area where she worked in theater education at Ford’s Theatre Society, the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Smithsonian Associates, and in Fairfax County Public Schools.
For the past three years, Carolyn has worked with the Tony Award winning La Jolla Playhouse and Old Globe in San Diego, CA. She served as the first Director of Education at San Diego Musical Theatre where her inaugural pre-professional production, Bring it On, won six National Youth Awards and was nominated for an additional four including Outstanding Direction and Production.
Some of her performing credits include the world premieres of Wild Goose Dreams and Home of the Brave (La Jolla Playhouse); Ragtime (2016 Craig Noel Award – Lead Actress in a Musical), South Pacific (San Diego Musical Theatre); Parade, A Christmas Carol, 1776, Liberty Smith, Freedom’s Song, The 25th Annual… Spelling Bee (Ford’s Theatre); Hello! Dolly (Ford’s Theatre/Signature Theatre); Pinkalicious the Musical (Adventure Theatre MTC); Little Shop of Horrors (Olney Theatre Center); Two Gents, A Rock Opera (Shakespeare Theatre Company). She wrote, produced, and directed an original musical, The 27 Club, for Capital Fringe Festival and her cabaret I’d Kill That Part (in my car) at the famous Martinis Above Fourth.
