Education

Jose studied at The Julliard School for both his B.M. and M.M. Previous teachers include Adele Marcus, Sylvia Rabinof, Leon Fleisher, William Masselos, Alicia de Larrocha.

Performance and Teaching Experience

Jose has performed as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, American Composers Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Saint Louis Symphony, Detroit Symphony, and San Antonio Symphony. He has played at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, 92Y, Kennedy Center Terrace Theater, and National Gallery.

Jose has been able to travel and perform all over the world in places such as Oakland, Utah, Puerto Rico, Santa Domingo, Guatemala, San Salvador, Peru, Japan, China, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.

His teaching experience outside of Levine include UMBC, Smith College, and Catholic University of America. Jose is the founder and director of Puerto Rico International Piano Festival. He is a jury member for William Kapell International Piano Competition, Liszt Garrison International Piano Competition, Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Competition, Rosayn Tureck Bach International Competition.

At Levine

Jose joined Levine in 2015 and teaches piano.

He believes that Levine has a great number of dedicated staff members and diverse faculty.
