Nevena received a B.M. Arts from DePauw University.
Performance and Teaching Experience
Nevena has been active teaching artist for early childhood development with numerous arts organizations in the Washington DC metropolitan area including Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Though the Arts, Sitar Arts Center and Levine Music.
Nevena previously worked as Director of Education for Chorus America in Washington DC, and Manager of Education programs at Metropolitan Opera Guild in New York City. She has enjoyed a varied career as arts manager, choral conductor, teaching artist and vocal performer.
Nevena joined the Levine faculty in 2020. She says, “My instruction draws important connection between performing arts and child’s learning specializing in music, movement, stories through games appropriate to their age and stage of development.”
