Join the Composition Department for the 2020 Composition Weekend Master Class. Levine composition students will present their works to members of INTERFERENCE new music collective.
About Interference
INTERFERENCE new music collective was formed in 2015 by composer Steve Antosca with AU faculty members William Brent, a computer music specialist, and Director of Music Programs, Senior Professorial Lecturer and cellist Nancy Jo Snider. The group will be Ensemble-in-Residence for the CONNECTED: MUSIC in the MUSEUM concert series.
INTERFERENCE was organized to showcase the talents of American University faculty, and to further the presence of new music at American University. The ensemble focuses on the use of technology in composition and performance and will promote the American University Katzen Museum as one of the primary presenters of new music in Washington, DC.
The event will take place over Zoom:
