Loeffler Alumni Series: Alex Hamburger, flute

Since her time at Levine studying flute with Karen Johnson, Alex Hamburger has been busy combining sonorous flute playing and “haunting singing” (All About Jazz) into music inspired by the diverse and ever-changing female voice. Her latest album, And She Spoke (2021), brims with original compositions heavily inspired by poetry written through the female voice as well as arrangement of works by female composers. Help us welcome Alex back to Levine for this special performance!
