Have you ever wished to be able to better understand and follow along with the music an orchestra plays, besides reading program notes? This free event is for adult community musicians who are interested in the orchestral repertoire, and who are interested or participate in the Levine Philharmonic Orchestra or the Levine Adult String Ensemble. Held online, attendees will be walked through some orchestral scores through the concept of “Music Mapping,” following along by ear with the music to begin learning how to follow the music through time and through learning to recognize important parts of the music. Several examples will be covered and discussed, and attendees will receive worksheets ahead of time that they can fill out during the session to participate and to go along with the discussions.
