The Levine String Orchestra program provides students ages 6-15 a rich and rewarding yearlong orchestral experience and culminates in two performances throughout the year.
Premiere: (Ages 6-10) Throughout the year, students learn the basics of the instrument’s technique (violin, viola, or cello) and perform for family and friends at the end of each session.
Sinfonietta: (Ages 8-12) This ensemble is a continuation of the Premiere Orchestra and focuses on preparing repertoire for performance while developing ensemble skills.
Camerata: This ensemble is a continuation of the Sinfonietta Orchestra and focuses on preparing more advanced repertoire for performance while developing advanced ensemble skills.
Depending on the level (Premiere, Sinfonietta, or Camerata) and campus (Silver Spring or Falls Church) a brief interview may be required before registering.
