Levine’s First Music and Music Therapy programs have teamed up to create an exciting new package specifically designed to help young children engage with group classes at Levine. Many children in group classes can be wiggly or easily overstimulated and may have difficulty engaging with group music activities. Our music therapists will work with your child and our First Music faculty to help children develop self-regulation strategies to help maximize their participation in group classes. Songs and activities from First Music classes will be incorporated into music therapy sessions to provide consistency and learning opportunities.
Who is this program for?
Children ages 4-7 enrolled in First Music group classes (Adventures in Music, Cantemos y Bailemos IV & V, Discovering Music, Exploring Music, & Musical Journey) who may have difficulty sitting still, staying focused in a group class setting, may become overstimulated, or have unique learning needs that may require additional support.
What does it look like?
Children enrolled for the full session of First Music classes (see above) will receive an additional 5 individual sessions (30 minutes each) with one of Levine’s board-certified music therapists. Sessions can be scheduled flexibly throughout the session of First Music classes.
How can I enroll?
