These small online ensembles provide students of all levels and instruments with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of jazz and develop their skills with like-minded peers. Students are placed in age-appropriate ensembles based on instrument or voice, experience, and availability. Each group meets weekly via Zoom with a member of Levine’s expert jazz faculty, who coaches the students in studying and playing songs from the standard jazz repertoire and developing their improvisation abilities, understanding of jazz theory and history.
