The class will take place in-person indoors at the NW DC Campus. Please review our Return to Campus Guide for additional details on our safety protocols.
In response to great interest expressed by Levine students and parents, this class offers training in how to tune, maintain, and adjust your violin, viola, cello, or string bass.

Specific areas include tuning, cleaning, minor bridge adjustment, changing strings, managing humidity levels, and preparation of the instrument for minor glue work by certified repair professionals (avoiding costly damage to the instruments), as well as the history of string instrument building. The construction of an instrument is demonstrated.

Each class participant is invited to request further topics at the time of registration.
