This summer performance group is for intermediate and advanced classical guitarists who want to develop their musicianship, ensemble technique, sight reading and chamber music skills in a fun and motivating group setting. Ensemble members learn to organize their musical ideas, refine their musical sensitivity, listen more carefully, respond to musical cues with facility, and work with other students in a musical team.

Participants are expected to show a high level of commitment. Participants should have an excellent understanding of rhythm, the ability to use both free and rest stroke with ease and be able to read fluently in first through seventh positions.

Please note: Two years of classical guitar lessons and recommendation of instructor are required.

This experience will take place IN-PERSON, INDOORS. Students in this class must show proof of vaccination in order to participate. See the Return to Campus Guide for more info.
