7 & UNDER | AGES 8-12 | AGES 13-18 | ADULTS
7 & UNDER
AGES 8-12
(Ages 11-18 and Adult)
These small online ensembles provide students of all levels and instruments with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of jazz and develop their skills with like minded peers. Students are placed in age-appropriate ensembles based on instrument or voice, experience, and availability.
(Ages 14 to Adult)
Jazz Theory Online offers a unique approach to understanding the musical elements used in jazz improvisation and composition. This class is designed for students of all instruments with no prior experience playing or studying jazz, students who play jazz ‘by ear’, as well as experienced jazz performers interested in brushing up, reinforcing, and/or filling in the gaps in their knowledge of Jazz Theory.
(Ages 8 – 18)
Theory Level 1 is designed to help young musicians develop sight-reading, rhythm, listening, and composition skills. Topics include counting rhythms, reading notes on the staff, scales, key signatures, intervals, chords, and musical signs and terms. Students compose a short melody as a final project.
(Ages 8 – 18)
In Theory Level 2 students continue their study of rhythm, reading notes on the staff, scales, key signatures, intervals, chords, and musical signs and terms. Level 2 introduces basic musical forms and harmony. Students apply these skills to a short composition project at the end of the class.
AGES 13-18

Music History and Appreciation Online
(Ages 14-Adult)
Music History and Appreciation Online is designed to help students enrich their musical experiences, whether as performers or audience members. Students develop their knowledge of basic musical terminology and hone their listening skills. Students are not required to have previous musical training before enrolling.

Music Theory Online for Adults – Advanced is designed for students who are already fluent in fundamental music theory skills (scales, key signatures, intervals, and triads). This class is designed to serve as a primer in college-level harmony and voice leading.
Music Theory Online for Adults – Basics
(Ages 14 – Adult)
Music Theory Online for Adults – Basics offers a unique approach to the building blocks of music theory. The class can be taken by total beginners, or by musicians who just want to brush up on their theory skills.
Music Theory Online for Adults – Intermediate
(Ages 14 – Adult)
Music Theory Online for Adults – Intermediate is designed for students who are already fluent with reading musical notation and want to take their musicianship skills to the next level.
