Martina Sestakova is an artist based in Kensington, MD, who leads workshops focusing on art history and self-discovery. Watercolor and collage-based art projects explore specific artworks or techniques, allowing students to be curious and implement their unique decision-making skills. At the same time, complex topics are presented in a fun and approachable way.
Discovering the Joy of Art
During this workshop, students will experiment with watercolors. We will explore different styles of painting, including realism and abstract art. During the session, we will discover and discuss Claude Monet and let Mark Rothko inspire us while painting landscapes and creating colorful flower compositions.
