This audition only program rewards advanced theatre students for their commitment to their education and training. Each level requires increased participation and in turn students are rewarded with additional opportunities for performance, one-on-one attention, and discounts. Students must complete their level within 12 calendar months of beginning the program. Below, you will find a breakdown of what each requirement means and how to complete.  

Level 1

                Performance Credits:

                Performance credits can include: cast, stage manager, assistant director, assistant choreographer, dance captain, assistant music director, vocal captain

                 Acting/ LMT Courses:

                 Music Theory:

                • AP Music Theory (Levine Music OR School/other with proper documentation)

                 Tech Theatre:

                • Assist on tech of performance credit production (Theatre Lab or Levine Music)
                • Intro to Tech Theatre (Theatre Lab)
                • Tech Theatre Internship (Theatre Lab)
                • The Producer – Music Production Class (Levine Music)

                 Private Voice/Dance/Instrument

                • Must be taken through Levine Music. Contemporary voice/instruments and dance can be taken as occasional or bi-weekly lesson packages. Traditional voice and instruments must be taken weekly. All students are strongly encouraged to enroll in weekly 30, 45, or 60-minute lessons.

                 Theatre Service:

                • Volunteer hours helping in theatre. These projects should take place at LMT or Theatre Lab, but exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis with pre-approval and proper documentation. This can include (but not limited to) assisting with youth classes, front of house, load-in/load-out, run crew for production, office assistance, intern for summer camp. Hours must be tracked and signed off on by faculty member.

                 Music Theatre Jury:

                • Available twice a year in the winter and spring, students can sign up for a slot to be adjudicated. Juries must consist of two contrasting vocal selections, a monologue, and an optional dance piece. Alternatively, students may choose one vocal selection and two contrasting monologues. Students will choose material alongside faculty during coaching sessions.
