The Position
Levine Music is pleased to announce a part-time low brass teaching position in the Winds and Brass Department. Levine Music is looking for applicants interested in and prepared to join a team of mutually supportive and collaborative teachers with a diversity of pedagogical approaches. The instructor must be flexible to teach at multiple campuses, with more student interest at our DC Campus: NW and VA Campus: Falls Church and be available for weekly lessons from September through June. Low Brass instructors should be comfortable teaching trombone, euphonium, and tuba.
Compensation will be awarded according to qualifications, experience, and open availability.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a BM in Performance or Education, a MM in Performance or Education preferred, or equivalent teaching experience. Candidates should be experienced teaching students of all ages with a broad range of abilities and backgrounds in both private and group class settings. Ideally, candidates should have both a strong classical background and a capacity to teach other musical styles. Applicants should possess a love of music, teaching, and children as well as the desire to nurture and shape the lives of young musicians.
Performance opportunities may also be possible for successful candidates with strong performance backgrounds.
