Flute
Education
Blythe holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music Education from Vanderbilt University. She also studied flute at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria. As a Suzuki teacher, Blythe trained at the Great Lakes Suzuki Institue.
As a Performer
Blythe is a member of DC Flutes and performed at the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention.
As a Teacher
Prior to Levine, Blythe worked with El Sinem as a visiting artist in Costa Rica. She also lived for a year in Egypt, teaching general music at an international school in Cairo. Blythe has worked in public schools at the secondary and elementary level, has taught in community music schools and arts camps, and has worked with various organizations that provide free music education to students in need. Blythe is a member of The Flute Society of Washington and the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
Teaching Philosophy
Blythe emphasizes the importance of students finding joy in making music and delighting in their own progress.

Blythe has been a member of Levine’s flute faculty since 2022 and serves as Levine’s Director of Summer Programs.
