Education

Hyeweon received her D.M.A. in Piano Performance from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, attended Han Yang University (Korea) for Piano Performance, received an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati and has attended the Blossom Music Festival (Cleveland) and Schleswig-Holstein Summer Music Festival (Germany).

Performance and Teaching Experience

Hyeweon has given solo and chamber music performances throughout the United States including at the Smithsonian Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Arts, Cleveland Museum of Arts, University of Cincinnati, Kent State University, St. Mary College, Lenna Hall (Chautauqua), Bennett Gordon (Steans Institute, Ravinia), French and German Embassy, Atlas Theater, Lyceum, Church of the Epiphany, Sejong Cultural Center and can be heard on WGUS in Cincinnati broadcasts.

Prior to Levine, Hyeweon was on faculty at the University of Cincinnati, Preparatory Department and Georgetown University.

She has been nominated as an Outstanding Teacher by the Governor’s School in University of Richmond.

At Levine

Hyeweon has been on the Levine faculty since 1993 where she teaches piano lessons, leads chamber music and adult piano performance class, and the Horowitz class. She is a former associate chair in piano department.
