Music Therapy

Education

Lina holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Georgia College and State University. While in college, Lina was the Community Service Director of the Music Therapy Society.

As a Performer

Lina started her musical journey as a pianist, where she performed in recitals and festivals from the 2nd grade through high school. She participated in musical theatre throughout high school and early college and played live music for bars, restaurants, and events in college. She was also a member of a two-woman accordion group called Weird Gal Yankovic.

At Levine

Lina joined our Music Therapy faculty in 2024. She leads adaptive lessons, music therapy sessions, and group sessions. Her primary modalities include guitar, piano, voice, ukulele, and percussion.

Therapeutic Philosophy

I use a child-centered, humanistic approach, and often employ techniques from Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and Neurologic music therapy. When needed, I pull from my undergraduate training in counseling techniques.
