Kassia is a chamber ensemble dedicated to new music with a traditional twist. Join us for an evening that explores the intersection between traditional Eurasian music and contemporary classical music.
The program will feature original compositions by Kassia resident composers Sam Post and Bernard Vallandingham. Interspersed throughout the program will be folk-music-inspired improvisations that interact with the composed pieces. The evening will conclude with a performance of Béla Bartók’s String Quartet No. 3.
Open to the public – in person only.
