JazzFest 2023

Join us for our annual JazzFest featuring live performances, a master class, and a jam session.
All events will take place in Room 309.

4:30 – 5:45 PM – Jazz Jam

Join us for the JazzFest 2023 Jazz Jam! Jazz jams at Levine are an opportunity for musicians of any age and proficiency to experience jazz from the inside in a fun and structured environment.

6 – 6:30 PM – Levine Teen Big Band Master Class

Join us for an interactive master class taught by Elijah Jamal Balbed, featuring Levine’s Maryland Jazz Band, led by Gary Prince.

7 PM – Performance: James Fernando & Friends

Enjoy a concert by James Fernando & Friends featuring Levine piano faculty member James Fernando with Gerson Lanza, Taisha Estrada, and Tommy Holiday.

8 PM – Performance: DC Jazz Festival DCJazzPrix winner the EJB Quartet

Levine welcomes DC Jazz Festival DCJazzPrix winner the EJB Quartet led by Elijah Jamal Balbed.
