Levine welcomes violinist Rachel Barton Pine. Rachel will coach Levine violin students in a master class and lead a presentation on Music by Black Composers.

Heralded as a leading interpreter of the great classical masterworks, violinist Rachel Barton Pine thrills audiences with her dazzling technique, lustrous tone, and emotional honesty. With an infectious joy in music-making and a passion for connecting historical research to performance, Pine transforms audiences’ experiences of classical music.

Through her Rachel Barton Pine Foundation, she has championed, commissioned, and created educational materials to support the performance and study of music by Black composers with Music by Black Composers.

This master class is presented in partnership with Washington Performing Arts.
