Adventures in Music is a fun and engaging class where caregivers and children can explore music side by side through singing, movement, and playful music-making. Each week is full of songs, chants, finger plays, bounces, listening games, and movement activities designed to spark joy and creativity.
Together, families enjoy circle dances, instrument play, and musical stories that encourage children to move expressively, sing confidently, and explore sound in new ways. We’ll introduce simple percussion instruments that help build rhythmic skills and begin using instruments that develop fine motor control. Children also start exploring more complex songs with wider vocal ranges and patterns that build pitch-matching and listening skills.
Here’s what your child can look forward to:
- Playing age-appropriate percussion instruments to build rhythmic confidence and a steady beat.
- Simple solo singing to strengthen pitch matching and listening.
- Movement activities that support both fine and gross motor development.
- Expressive movement to build spatial awareness and body control.
- A growing collection of fun songs and musical games.
- The opportunity to share musical ideas—a first step toward improvisation.
Each session includes 45 minutes of guided musical activities and 15 minutes of Community Time — a chance to talk with our expert teachers, ask questions, connect with other families, and enjoy free playtime for the kids.
This class is designed for children who are age 3 as of September 2025 and includes active participation from a caregiver.
