Whether you would like to reinforce the Spanish that is already spoken at home or would like to expose your child to the music of Latin America and Spain, this class provides a wonderful opportunity for a caregiver and child to make music together as they participate in complex musical activities in Spanish, including singing songs and lullabies, chants, finger plays, wiggles, bounces, listening, and movement. Perfect for both native Spanish and English speakers!
This class introduces echo songs in Spanish as well as activities that encourage creativity and individual contribution. Age-appropriate percussion instruments are used to enforce the learning of steady beat. Concepts such as body/spatial awareness, numbers, colors, shapes, seasons, family, and animals are reinforced through identification games and musical play. Participant families receive guidance on children’s musical development, along with tools that support the creation of a nurturing musical environment at home. No previous knowledge of Spanish is necessary.

Esta clase ofrece una gran oportunidad musical en la que los adultos gozen con los niños un ambiente músical en español, participando en actividades musicales un poco más complejas.
Se presentan caciones de eco en español, así como actividades que fomentan la creatividad y la participacion individual. Se utlizan instrumentos de percusión apropiados para la edad, y conceptos tales como conciencia corporal / espacial, números, colores, formas, estaciones, la familia y los animales. Estos conceptos se refuerzan con juegos musicales. Las familias participantes reciben orientación sobre el desarrollo musical de los niños, junto con herramientas que apoyan la creación de un ambiente musical en el hogar.
