This class provides a wonderful opportunity for babies and toddlers to discover the joys of making music through singing, chanting, simple finger plays, wiggles, tickles, bounces, listening and movement. Age-appropriate percussion instruments are used to internalize steady beat. Concepts such as body/spatial awareness, numbers, seasons, family, and animals are reinforced through identification games and musical play.
Participants receive guidance on children’s musical development, along with tools that support the creation of a nurturing musical environment at home.
Class activities and benefits include:
- Playing age-appropriate percussion instruments
- Building a repertoire of songs and activities to use at home
- Childhood development through age-appropriate musical activities
- Increased social development and exploration
This experience will take place IN-PERSON. Caregivers in this class must show proof of vaccination in order to participate. See the Return to Campus Guide for more info.
