
Laura Willumsen comes to Levine from the Shakespeare Theatre Company, where she served as Senior Director of Development for seven and a half years. Prior to that, she was Director of Institutional Giving and Interim Head of Advancement at the Smithsonian’s National Museums of Asian Art, Director of Marketing for Pittsburgh Opera, and Senior Consultant for TRG Arts, working with over 70 performing arts companies across the US and Canada to grow audiences and revenue.
Laura previously served as Executive Director of Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, expanding classes and camps, and at the Wheeling Symphony, where she founded a community music school and initiated Young People’s Concert tours.
Laura managed the Folger Consort at the Folger Shakespeare Library and produced both the IN Series at George Washington University and the D’Addario Guitar Series at Georgetown University.
She joined the US Air Force Band after receiving her undergraduate and graduate degrees in violin performance and taught on the faculties of the DC Youth Orchestra and Trinity Washington University.
