Levine Vocal Jazz Collective

Join Levine’s select vocal jazz ensemble and explore the rich traditions and evolving artistry of jazz singing. Led by vocalist and educator Reginald Bowens, this advanced ensemble offers singers the opportunity to develop their musicianship in an ensemble setting.

We’ll build essential skills in harmony, phrasing, improvisation, rhythmic precision, and stylistic interpretation while rehearsing with a focused and collaborative vocal ensemble. Repertoire draws from the legacy of classic vocal jazz groups such as Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, and contemporary ensembles like Take 6 alongside blues, ballads, swing, and modern selections.

Designed for singers ages 15 and up with prior vocal experience, this ensemble is ideal for students seeking a high-level performance experience and deeper study of jazz vocal styles.

Audition is required for admission. The class culminates in a public performance showcase.
