The Suzuki Piano Sampler class provides an introduction to the basics to get started with Suzuki piano. Students will practice rest and ready position, hand position, piano geography, twinkle rhythms, forms of songs, solfege, rhythm games, and taking a bow.
Parents are an integral support to Suzuki lessons. There will be a 30-minute Zoom introduction on the Sunday before class begins to outline the Suzuki method and provide class goals. Parents must attend each session of the Suzuki Piano Sampler to learn alongside their child and offer support. Students are not expected to have a piano at home for practice.
At the conclusion of the class, students can continue with observations and placement in the Suzuki piano program.
