First Music Instructor, part-time (Fall 2026)

Levine Music is a welcoming community where children and adults find lifelong inspiration and joy through learning, performing, listening to, and participating with others in music. Levine’s core values – excellence and opportunity – infuse everything we do. Our distinguished faculty offers a broad and well-rounded curriculum that provides a strong musical foundation for students of different ages, abilities, and interests. We strive to make Levine’s education available to everyone. Hundreds of students receive substantial scholarship assistance; many hundreds more receive free instruction through fully funded in-school programs.

We are pleased to invite applications for a part-time teaching opportunity in our First Music Department. We seek compassionate, creative educators who are inspired by the joy of early childhood music-making and eager to join a collaborative, supportive community of teachers committed to high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction.

At Levine Music, we believe music is for everyone. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment where children and families of all backgrounds feel valued, respected, and empowered to participate fully.

Qualified applicants will hold a bachelor’s degree in music, early childhood music education, or a related field, or demonstrate comparable training and experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in and passion for teaching infants, toddlers, and young children, along with an understanding of how music supports early development, creativity, and connection.

Applicants must feel confident leading engaging, play-based group classes for children and caregivers, including singing unaccompanied in a range appropriate for young learners in the First Music program. Ideal candidates also play a harmony instrument (i.e. guitar, ukulele, piano) for accompanied singing activities. We value educators who can create joyful, inclusive classroom environments and who have experience working with students across a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and lived experiences.
