Artist Lab: Special Topics (All Instruments)

Today’s musicians need more than technical skills; they need the tools to build sustainable, creative, and rewarding careers.

Artist Lab is an interactive monthly series for students of all instruments, styles, and experience levels who want to better understand the professional side of music. Through workshops, discussions, guest artists, and hands-on projects, students explore topics such as professional branding, artist materials, marketing, recording and content creation, songwriting, music business, and music entrepreneurship.

We’ll learn how to communicate our artistic vision, present ourselves professionally, and navigate opportunities in today’s music industry. Sessions feature music industry professionals, Levine faculty, and accomplished alumni sharing real-world perspectives and experiences.

Whether your goal is performing, teaching, recording, composing, freelancing, or simply becoming a more informed and empowered musician, Artist Lab provides valuable skills that complement and enhance your musical training.
