Introduction to Chamber Music – 30 Minutes

All Ages

Are you interested in chamber music? This class gives you the opportunity to try chamber music for the first time, even if you have never tried it before. You can be a member of a piano, string, or wind duo, or a mixed instrumentation ensemble.

You’ll have the opportunity to join a small group and make music together with other students, coached by experienced Levine faculty.

Playing in a chamber ensemble is a fun and rewarding way to grow as a musician. You’ll build confidence on your instrument, explore new repertoire, and share your musical ideas in a collaborative setting. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your music reading and listening skills, while developing your unique musical voice.

Most of all, you’ll experience the joy of making music as a team and connecting with others through music.

This class is open to both school-age students and adults. Groups will be matched by age and level. Open to students of early intermediate level and above.

Interested students should contact Ralitza Patcheva at RPatcheva@levinemusic.org

The class will be offered in sessions of eight 30-minute coachings with an optional performance at one of the following Chamber Music Department concerts:
