The Levine Music Guitar Department is seeking a guitar instructor to teach group and private classes at the DC Campus: THEARC, starting in the Fall 2026 semester. Instruction will take place on Saturdays from September through June. This position will be eligible to teach at any of Levine Music’s five campuses in the Washington, DC region and to add additional teaching days or hours in the future, based on program needs and student enrollment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Music in Performance or Music Education.
- Master of Music in Performance or Music Education is preferred.
- Teaching experience with children of various ages, levels, and musical styles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Group class teaching experience preferred. Candidates should be highly organized, passionate about teaching, and have experience teaching students of all ages with a broad range of abilities and backgrounds in both private and group class settings. Ideally, candidates should have a background in classical and contemporary styles.
Successful candidates will join a collegial team of teachers committed to teaching at the highest level and will have the opportunity to become a full-time instructor as time, demand, and scheduling constraints allow. Performance opportunities may also be possible for those with strong performance backgrounds. Compensation will be awarded according to qualifications and experience.
