SUZUKI STRINGS VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR

Levine Music is pleased to announce a part-time Violin Instructor position in the Suzuki Strings Department commencing September 2024.

Applicants should possess BM in Performance or Education, MM in Performance or Education preferred.  Applicants should have registered training in the Suzuki Method through Book 4, have a dedication to and understanding of the Suzuki philosophy, and have teaching experience with children of all ages. (Applicants with less Suzuki training may be considered if they are highly qualified in other areas and willing to continue training, observation, and mentoring.)   Group class teaching experience is a plus.

Levine Music is looking for applicants interested in and prepared to join a team of mutually supportive and collaborative teachers with a diversity of pedagogical approaches.

This position offers at least (5) hours of private teaching per week over the academic year to begin with and has the potential to grow. The instructor must be flexible to teach at any of the five of Levine’s campuses in the Washington DC area, to add more days/hours in the future.  Compensation will be awarded according to qualifications and experience.
