The French-American Piano Society and Levine Music are delighted to announce a partnership aimed at fostering cultural exchange and advancing the French Piano Repertoire within the Washington community. This collaboration represents a significant step forward in promoting excellence in piano education and performance.
The French-American Piano Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural exchange between France and the United States through French pianists and music, has been instrumental in showcasing the talents of both French and American pianists since its inception in 2013.
Beginning this year, Levine’s piano department will be working side by side with the French-American Piano Society in this exciting new collaboration. Through this dynamic partnership, over the next four years, we’ll develop a French piano repertoire curriculum, present master classes and recitals featuring French pianists, host a French piano repertoire competition, and create a cultural exchange for young pianists in France and Washington, DC.
Jeffery Tribble Jr., President and CEO of Levine Music, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are honored to collaborate with the French-American Piano Society in promoting the French Piano Repertoire. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to provide the highest quality music education to our students and to foster cultural exchange. We look forward to the transformative impact this collaboration will have on our community.”
Mathieu Petitjean, Ph.D., Founder and Director of French-American Piano Society, added, “We are thrilled to partner with Levine Music, a distinguished institution that shares our passion for excellence in music education. Together, we will bring the beauty and artistry of the French Piano Repertoire to a wider audience, fostering cross-cultural connections and nurturing the next generation of talented pianists.”
Together, we’ll cultivate a profound appreciation for the French Piano Repertoire and nurture cultural understanding between France and the United States. Both organizations are committed to providing extraordinary opportunities for students, musicians, and the broader community to engage themselves in the beauty of French piano music and its rich cultural heritage.
