There, she was responsible for creating and implementing programs serving 50,000+ students annually in six school districts and supporting symphony patrons of all ages. Aimee has deep roots in the community music school field, and her role at Levine reflects that passion. She previously served as the Director of Programs for the Community School for the Arts in Charlotte, NC, providing educational and artistic leadership for the organization, overseeing program development, faculty, scheduling, budgets, and registration processes. In other roles, she has taught private piano and general music and has directed elementary and middle school ensembles. Aimee also has been anadvocate throughout her career for access, equity, and diversity in arts education, and is currently co-chair of Levine’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism working group. From 2013-2020, Aimee served nationally on the League of American Orchestras’ Education and Community Engagement Leadership Committee, including two terms as co-chair, and has developed a strong network of leaders in the music education and orchestra world.

A native of Pennsylvania, Aimee studied piano performance at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with teacher Yoheved Kaplinsky with additional graduate studies at the University of Alabama and Louisiana State University. Having lived in many cities, Aimee and her family are proud to call Washington, DC, home.
