Levine faculty member Chris Battistone

Education

Chris earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. He grew up in Frederick, Maryland, graduating from Thomas Johnson High School. 

As a Performer

Chris has performed with a wide range of distinguished ensembles, including the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Danny Gatton Band, and saxophonist Ron Holloway. His career also includes featured appearances with renowned artists such as James Moody, Harry Connick Jr., Nancy Wilson, Maureen McGovern, Jack Jones, and Gov’t Mule. In addition, he has contributed his talents to the Mike Tomaro Big Band and the Bob Fields Jazz Septet.

At Levine

Chris originally joined the Levine faculty in 2003, spending twelve inspiring years teaching there before returning once again in the fall of 2021.
