Jade Lemus earned a Bachelor of Arts in String Pedagogy from George Mason University.
As a Performer
Jade performs as Assistant Principal Violist with the George Mason University Symphony Orchestra.
As a Teacher
Jade has experience teaching violin and viola in both private and group settings. She has served as a teaching assistant with Mason Camp Strings and the Institute for the Arts, as well as a lead group violin and viola instructor. She has also taught violin and viola at Day Violins and the Mason Community Arts Academy.
At Levine
Jade teaches First Music at Levine since 2026 and had previously worked with Camp Levine.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe that all children deserve access to fun, approachable, and achievable music. With a firm root in child development and music pedagogy, my approach to music education is student-first with an emphasis on true understanding rather than outcome driven. Children need guardrails to approach music confidently with a sense of security, curiosity, and exploration, which is what drives me to truly understand every student in front of me and what their interests, dislikes, passions, and learning particularities are.
