Teaching Philosophy and Approach

“I believe in an approach that emphasizes technical exercise and musicality. Students are successful when they are given guidance specific to their development needs rather than just busy work. I want my students to take the lessons they learn with me and adapt them in a way that works for them. I encourage my students to have a wide variety of musical tastes and to always be expanding their horizons as this improves their ear.”
