Education

Michaela received her BM in Harp from the Prague Conservatory of Music, graduating with honors, and an additional BM and MM from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.

As a Performer

Michaela is an adept performer in classical and pop genres and venues. She has performed worldwide, including engagements in the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Hong Kong, and Taiwan and for international dignitaries, including Saint Pope John Paul II, US Presidents George H. Bush and Bill Clinton, and Czech President Vaclav Havel. Other performances include numerous symphony orchestras, including a performance in Alice Tully Hall in NY.

As a Teacher

In addition to Levine, Michaela serves on the faculties of Peabody, George Washington University, The Catholic University of America, and Gettysburg College.

At Levine

Michaela joined the Levine Strings Department in 2023.

Teaching Philosophy

In private instruction, Michaela emphasizes tone production, physical comfort, efficient practice, ease of performance, and musical style through literature that includes representative compositions of various styles and periods.
