JOIN A JAZZ COMBO
These small ensembles offer students of all levels and instruments the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of jazz and develop their skills alongside new friends. Students are placed in age-appropriate ensembles based on instrument or voice, experience, and availability.
Each group meets weekly with a member of Levine’s expert jazz faculty who coaches the students in studying and playing songs from the standard jazz repertoire, develops their improvisation abilities, and enhances their understanding of jazz theory and history. Each session meets for 7 weeks, culminating in a live performance on the 8th week. To begin placement, please complete the Jazz Combo Placement Form.
