About Davanee Li
Davanee Li is a senior at Langley High School and has been practicing solo piano since the age of four. Having studied at Levine Music for nearly six years—two of which featured her involvement in the Honors Program—her mastery of the keyboard and classical music theory has led her to claim many awards and recognitions, such as First Prize in the 2024 Elite International Music Competition and 2025 Artist of the Year in the International Great Composers Competition Series. She has also been invited to perform both as a soloist and chamber ensemble musician at such notable venues as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Additionally, she has had the honor of receiving the guidance of numerous reputable artists through her several masterclass appearances, those including Emanuel Ax and Anna Geniushene. Most importantly, Davanee sees music as a valuable medium for service to her community. As a Chief Intern of the Tacy Foundation, she has regularly coordinated events for and performed at nursing homes and hospitals across the DMV—including the NIH—for over nine years. Outside of her musical pursuits, Davanee is an avid entomology and osteology enthusiast, as well as a caretaker to over 70 insects spanning six orders. If she isn’t in her practice room, she’s exploring a forest with a large camera in one hand and insect nets in the other.
