About Dannielle Weems-Elliott

Violinist / Violist / Educator
Dannielle Weems‑Elliott is an accomplished string educator, Suzuki teacher, and chamber music coach with over two decades of experience guiding young musicians from early childhood through advanced pre-college levels. She is the founder and director of the Elliott Violin Studio in Newport News, Virginia, where she has trained students from the earliest stages through advanced pre-college levels using a blend of Suzuki pedagogy and traditional repertoire.
In her work, Dannielle combines a deep respect for classical tradition with a commitment to accessibility, equity, and representation in music education. Her students have gone on to win regional competitions, attend major conservatories, and pursue music professionally.
She holds degrees in both music and environmental science and brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her teaching, emphasizing critical thinking, resilience, and creativity.
