This year’s theme is Mozart and More!
Our Adult Strings Summer Retreat is designed for beginning and intermediate adult string players and combines a variety of learning topics and playing opportunities into one event! The program has two tracks to consider multiple skill levels (see below). The weekend includes technical skill work on the instrument, musical topic sessions, music theory basics and review, and jam session reading.
9:30 AM – 4 PM Early Beginner (within the first few months-1 year of experience) Beginner players attend the introduction course and can be exempt from (or participate as an observer) in other classes beyond their level. Music reading ability or fluency is not required. Players must bring their own instrument.
10:30 AM – 4 PM Late Beginner-Intermediate (1-2 years+ of experience) Participants are fully immersed in all elements of the program. Players must bring their own instruments. It is highly recommended to have music-reading skills to get the most out of this program.
