Baroque Performance Lab

Unlock the secrets of 17th and 18th Century musical practice in this immersive performance lab.

Designed for advanced-intermediate to and advanced keyboard, string, and woodwind instruments, this course dives into the essentials of Baroque performance practice — from ornamentation and articulation to stylistic nuances. Guided by Levine’s expert Early Music faculty, we’ll explore original sources and master period techniques through interactive discussion and performance. The session culminates in a final class showcase to apply our informed interpretive decisions to the stage.
