Beginning Ukulele for Kids

Ages 7 - 12

Is your young musician ready to play a fun and easy-to-learn instrument? Ukulele is perfect for kids looking to jump right into the world of making music!

This rewarding 16-week class gets kids playing tunes from the very first day. By the end of the session, we’ll be able to perform a variety of fun songs. You will be amazed at how quickly your kids will pick up this fun, portable instrument. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary–just bring your ukulele and get ready for fun! If you’ve already finished this class, keep learning by signing up for private lessons!

We’ll learn:

  • Basic chords
  • Strumming patterns
  • Simple melodies
  • The building blocks of music
  • Note reading

Please note: If you register at least two weeks before the start of class, you can ask Levine to provide a ukulele which you can keep at the conclusion of the class. All other participants must provide their own instruments tuned to G-C-E-A.
