This class is geared toward advanced high school aged performers who are interested in college and/or professional careers in theatre or music theatre. The class will cover audition book building, audition techniques, acting for song, basic movement, and vocal coaching in both classical golden age and contemporary styles. There will be a focus on the audition process as well as musical theatre history and repertoire.
The class would meet once a week for 1.5 hours. The class will have 5 units of a typical Musical Theatre Audition Book. There will be one masterclass with a master teacher (TBD). The class semester will culminate with a performance featuring solos and group numbers.
The class will have 12 meeting dates that begin on February 2, 2026 and end on April 27, 2026. Class final performance will happen on April 27, the last day of class.
