High School Music Theatre

This class is geared toward advanced high school- aged performers who are interested in collegiate and/or professional careers in theatre or music theatre. We’ll cover audition book building, audition techniques, acting for song, basic movement, and vocal coaching in both classical golden age and contemporary styles. There will be a focus on the audition process as well as musical theatre history and repertoire.

The class meets once a week for 1.5 hours and cover five units of a typical musical theatre audition book. There will be one masterclass with a master teacher, and the class will culminate with a performance featuring solos and group numbers.
